Communication

Communication is the ability to express valid ideas and opinions.
Effective communication leads to effective motivation. So communication
and motivation goes hand in hand. If you want to be a Master Salesperson
you have to develop the art of communication. The art of communication
is the art of expressing your ideas in such a way as to impress others
with you knowledge, conviction and manner of presentation. Effective
communication requires effective listening. Most selling situations
demand conversation between the Sales Person and the customer. So good
selling is therefore good communication.

Good Communication brings a series of responses or answers and
agreements from the customer. It brings about favourable buying decision
and also win the trust and confidence of the customer. Sales person
should have a clear picture of what he is going to say to the customer.
It is very  important to ensure that the key elements of the message are
well defined and understood by both the Sales Person and the Customer.

Listening for a long time makes concentration difficult.As a Sales
Person your job is to be alert and ready to ask open ended questions
Where ever needed to keep the conversation interesting.

Empathy is certainly important in the process of sales communication.
Technical jargon should be avoided. The Sales Person's objective is to
gain the customer's interest and understanding. As they develop a closer
relationship the customer and the sales person work together inorder to
discover a solution to an agreed problem.

Sales Person must understand that communication is a two way process and
it will be effective if the customer has an open mind and willing to
accept the presentation. Always make the customer speak and you listen.
By listening you will learn something about the needs, desires, and
feeling of the customer.
If you want to become a good communicator learn to like people. By
releasing negative thoughts and feelings and fill your mind with
illuminating, friendly and enthusiastic thoughts. Communicating
effectively is not that easy.  It needs clear thinking, affirmative
application and constant practice.

The way you express words can make a product sound very
interesting, inviting and a must to own. Use the right words to convey
appealing ideas to the buyer and use them lovingly. By developing the
art of conversation, self
confidence, enthusiasm, understanding, tolerance, and personality are
enhanced. Always present your ideas in a rational, calm and friendly
manner.

The greater your communication skills the more customers will listen to
your sales message and act on it in the affirmative.
