Attitude

Attitude is very important in selling.Some people look for the worst in
situations, others look for the best.As a Salesperson you should have a
positive mental attitude in every situation. Always talk positively to
yourself, feel good about yourself. When you are talking to customers on the
phone, your attitude should be positive.Say to yourself, I will handle this, I
will succeed, I will find a solution to the customer's problem.

Positive Mental Attitude can apply to your personal life as well as your
carrier. You have to believe in yourself. Your build up the feeling of
insecurity or security by how you think. Norman Vincent Peale in his Book
"Power of positive thinking "talks about a travelling Salesperson who used
to drive around all day calling on people.The salesperson while driving
thinks of all kinds of thoughts.If his thought pattern is negative he will
have negative thoughts all through the day.He says, he used to drive around
all day thinking fear and defeat thoughts and his Sales were declining.He
decided to change his thought patterns, and he filled his thoughts with Faith
and Confidence.So everytime he visited his Customer he was full of
Confidence and Courage.He was very positive the customer will buy. And as he
changed his Attitude, he sales sky rocketted.

Emerson said, "practise Confidence and Faith and your fears and insecurities
will soon have no power over you.

During the day practise thinking peaceful thoughts.Let peaceful scenes cross
your mind.Peaceful thought images work upon your mind as a healing
medicine.As a Salesperson you should be calm and relaxed.Use words like
'Tranquility", Serenity in your affirmations.

We are responsible for our attitude.If your attitude is negative your sales
career will be a failure.If you can't make yourself happy how can you
satisfy the needs of others. So have a Positive Mental Attitude towards you
and others.If your attitude is positive your life will be Constructive.Every
time you ring a Customer or Pick up the phone you need to have a Positive
Attitude.

In Telesales for every 10 calls, you make a sale.So Attitude is vital in your
sales success.The more calls you make, the more sales you get.The more 'Nos'
you hear the more likely you are going to get an increasing number of
'Yes'.So be ready for the 'Nos' because the 'Yes' is going to follow soon
after.
